First Nurse Practitioner Accepted to a Medicine Fellowship

With his rich clinical and leadership experience, it is great to see that Dr. John Barrett is paving the way for APP entry into Medicine programs. He is the first APRN to enter a medicine Point-of-Care Ultrasound Training Fellowship (POCUS). While some physicians remain up in arms, we have no doubt the extra expertise will improve his clinical and diagnostic acumen…so why not celebrate?! Way to go Dr. Barrett and Penn Medicine’s Division of Emergency Ultrasound program! 🙌🏼
